WCS Bids a Fond Farewell to Ken Shaw and Fred DiPietro

We extend our best wishes to Ken Shaw, project executive, and Fred DiPietro, vice president of estimating WCS Construction.

Ken has been with WCS Construction for over 15 years and has been involved in many of our notable projects including THEARC Phase II when he first started with WCS and the recently completed THEARC Phase III project.  Ken, as a senior project manager at the time, worked on Shipley, Southview, Salvation Army, 3333 Wisconsin Ave., Sheridan Station Phase I and City Homes, and Pike 3400.  As project executive, Ken provided oversight and leadership to the City View Project, Takoma Place Apartments, and the Petworth Station Apartments renovation.

Fred joined WCS Construction in December 2003 just a couple years after our founding and has been a valued employee ever since.  Fred was instrumental in developing our estimating and preconstruction department processes and has gained a great reputation with our clients and subcontractors.  Fred is known for his straight talk and has been a “go-to” guy for quick preliminary budget estimates.  He is also an excellent golfer, who has helped us and our clients win a number of tournaments over the years.
