Modernization of Georgia Avenue Well Underway

Washington, DC (March, 2015) – WCS Construction, LLC has started the 95 unit modernization of 7701 – 7611 Georgia Avenue, NW for Georgia Avenue Redevelopment LP.

Designed by Stoiber and Associates, both buildings originally constructed in the 1930’s are being brought into the 20th century with UFAS (Uniform Federal Accessibility Standards) designated first floor units, updated electrical throughout, centralized heating and air conditioning, updates to all kitchens will include new cabinetry, tile flooring and new appliances along with much needed bathroom updates. Phase I which is currently underway will also include the creation of a rental office with kitchenette, meeting room and common area laundry room, a new community room for tenants and a refreshed mailbox area. The Dry Clean Depot housed at the 7701 Georgia Avenue location will undergo a refresh as well.

Modernization will follow the guidelines of Green Communities with a projected completion date of June, 2016.
