Safety Manager

Elisabeth (Sissy)  Martin has over 30 years of experience in the field of safety. Prior to coming on board with us, Sissy was the regional safety and health sr. manager at Lendlease. She has served as a Trainer, Occupational Safety Compliance Officer, and Corporate Safety Superintendent. Sissy is responsible for implementing the WCS safety program.  She has conducted investigations, inspections, and audits on construction sites. Her experience includes representing companies for testimony in administrative court hearings and reviewing and evaluating OSHA reports. In addition, Sissy has completed more than 1000 hours of formal occupational safety and health training. As Director of Safety Sissy is responsible for all Loss Control/Claim prevention and investigation activities at the project site. She acts as a Liaison to the insurer’s claim and loss control personnel. Sissy is responsible for implementing the Safety/Loss Control program objectives, conducting and documenting daily loss control site inspections, and coordinating unsafe condition correction. She participates in inspections, investigates all accidents, attends weekly safety meetings, maintains the Safety/Loss Control Manual, provides all claims, reviews contractor and subcontractor Safety Programs, provides training, and ensures compliance with all Federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration Standards.
